Charging infrastructure
The use of all your electric vehicles requires an extensive and reliable network of charging systems. Batenburg supplies and installs these as standard and as custom solution.
Whether it concerns a fully equipped distribution station or just the charging unit in the various capacities, careful charging or power charging, we deliver this as standard or as a custom solution.
Our energy-technical solutions are scalable and adapted to the situation. The infrastructure, for instance, will be adapted to the power required, whether it concerns cars, buses or lorries. Thanks to our strict focus, we provide a secure and customer-specific infrastructure between transformer substations and charging stations to the entire E-mobility market.
For one, Batenburg Techniek provides the supply and installation of the energy infrastructure for Qbuzz charging solutions (see video). This is how we are working together towards a 100% electric future for Qbuzz in 2030.

EV charging
Nowadays it can be heard everywhere: clean and economical driving. We want to make Europe as environmentally friendly as possible. One of the ways to achieve this is by realising EV charging. According to the environmental agreement in Europe, we must reduce CO2 emissions. The diesel buses are slowly being replaced by electric buses, and these need to be recharged.
What is EV Charging?
EV Charging stands for Electric Vehicle Charging. A charging station has the necessary energy to charge an electric vehicle. Sparreboom Techniek provides these charging stations for bus transport in the Netherlands. The solutions we offer allow our clients to take the next step in electric transport. We have several years of experience in the engineering, installation and maintenance of EV Charging infrastructure. Our service organisation provides for fast, professional support and for the performance of preventive maintenance. We are available 24/7 so that our clients can fully focus on electric transport. The charging stations we provide can be divided into two categories:
- Depot charging
- In-line charging
What’s the difference?
Depot charging means that the charging station is used for a longer period of time to charge. For instance, for buses travelling longer distances. The buses usually charge all night at a charging station.
In-line charging can usually be found in urban areas. Vehicles constantly drive the same route and at certain times, the vehicle is briefly charged at a charging station, after which it continues on its way. These charging stations are sometimes referred to as opportunity chargers. There are several places where you can quickly charge your vehicle.
Charging stations
Due to the large number of types of charging stations, there is always a suitable custom solution available. Batenburg provides a turnkey installation service for various types of charging stations. This ranges from passenger cars to electric buses or lorries. Our charging station specialists will be happy to visit you to assess the options.
We specialise in:
- Charging stations/pillars
- AC chargers up to 22kW
- DC fast chargers up to 450kW
- Energy management
- Excavation and street work
- Street coating
- Infrastructure design
- Inspection and maintenance
If you drive electric vehicles, you not only contribute to a better environment; you also save money. This is demonstrated by various research figures. Charging electricity is cheaper than filling up with petrol. We continue to keep an eye on the market to keep abreast of the latest developments and innovations.
Transformer substations
Batenburg provides the E-infrastructure for your E-mobility solution. We use our transformer substations to house this infrastructure. Your E-infrastructure can consist of an installation, transformer or a control room in which data cabinets are stored.
Parking systems
Over the years, Batenburg has built up a lot of experience in advising and realising systems in parking garages. Ranging from construction team work to specification work. We always contribute to the planning, design and realisation phase and consult with the parties involved. The systems that we realise include:
- Lighting/LED lighting
- Emergency and escape route lighting
- Electrical installations
- Underfloor ramp heating
- Parking systems
- Counting systems/full/free indication systems
- CCTV camera surveillance
- Fire and evacuation systems
- Ventilation systems
- Water drainage systems
- Dry-extinguishing systems
- Water systems
